Of Randi's Ushabti

Taita's Ushabti
Our kennel name “of Randi’s Ushabti” was born as a link to the kennel “of Taita’s Ushabti from our very good friends from many years Werner en Christel Stamm-Behets which we work very close together with.
When Christel moved to Germany, she offered us this beautiful kennel name as a gift and a confirmation of our friendship.

Randi

Ch. Randi Het Rittzenbroek was the First schnauzer of Christel. She was born on the 7th of February 1993, came to live at our place on Christmas eve 1998 and unfortunate  died on December 30th 2004
She won many shows and was crown  Belgian, Luxembourg  and International Champion.
She also had two litters, in totaly she give birth to 18 puppies. One of her daughters, Belgian Champion Xtazy of Taita’s Ushabti, brought just like her mother joy for many years in our home. We miss them both a lot.

In the spirit of Ushabti

An Ushabti is a figurine that was placed in the tomb of a pharaoh in Ancient Egypt as substitute worker for the deceased. Possibly this is a replacement of the use to sacrifice and bury servants along with the deceased king in the earliest history of Egypt.

The word 'Ushabti' means 'answerer'. As the death were called to evaluate their life for the judges of the underworld, then the funerary figurine must answer as a friend and as a defender.

It is not by accident that friendship and the defending their master are typical characteristics of a Schnauzer. Knowing that the qualities of justice and loyalty were very strong present in Randi, we try to breed all our Schnauzers in the very same spirit of Randi’s Ushabti.
