About us
The Beginning of a Lifelong Passion
Our love for schnauzers began with an encounter between a fourteen-year-old boy and a stately pepper-and-salt Giant Schnauzer. That boy was Arnaud. Although it would be years before he brought home his first own schnauzer, the spark had already been lit.
In 1997, the first miniature schnauzer entered Arnaud's life. The little dog struggled with various health issues, which made him acutely aware — early on — of how important knowledge, care and responsibility are in breeding. That experience laid the foundation for one clear conviction: it had to be done differently and better, with respect for the dog and the breed.
A year later, in July 1998, came his first own schnauzer: Xtazy of Taita's Ushabti, a pepper-and-salt Standard Schnauzer. That same year, Xtazy's mother, Randi, also came to live with us.
With Xtazy, Arnaud took his first steps into the world of national and international dog shows — a school of life that further shaped his vision of breed purity, temperament and quality. In 2001, Xtazy became Belgian Champion.
That same year, our kennel took shape: of Randi's Ushabti. The name is a tribute to the kennel of Taita's Ushabti of Werner and Christel Stamm-Behets, who warmly welcomed and guided Arnaud at the time. When Christel later moved to Germany, she entrusted the kennel name to Arnaud — a gesture still carried today with deep gratitude.

Over the years, interest grew in a lesser-known but particularly elegant variety: the White Miniature Schnauzer. Long rare and undervalued in Belgium, while its quality was clearly evolving abroad. That fascination led to a small but purposeful breeding programme, with carefully selected parent dogs — as a personal contribution to the preservation and further development of the breed.
A Passion Passed Down Through Generations
That love for schnauzers did not stay with Arnaud alone. His daughter Aube literally grew up among the schnauzer puppies. From a young age she joined him at dog shows, gradually developing her own affinity with the breed and the show world.

While still young, she travelled to Germany to learn the craft of hand-stripping from Werner and Christel Stamm-Behets. Like her father, she feels a deep connection with the White Miniature Schnauzer — and especially with their temperament, expression and presence.
Today Arnaud and Aube form a close team within a small, family-run F.C.I.-recognised hobby kennel. Arnaud holds the official certificate for breeding L.O.S.H. dogs. All our dogs live with us in our home as full members of the family, surrounded by calm, structure and attention. It shows in their stable temperament, playfulness and strong bond with their people.
Randi — Where It All Began
Champion Randi Het Rittzenbroek was the very first schnauzer of Christel Stamm-Behets. Born on 7 February 1993, she came to live with us on Christmas Eve 1998. She passed away on 30 December 2004, but her influence remains tangible to this day.

Randi was exceptional in both temperament and achievements, earning several national and international titles. She became a mother twice, giving birth to eighteen puppies. One of her daughters, Xtazy of Taita's Ushabti, also became Belgian Champion and brought our family joy for many years. Their presence lives on in everything we do today.
In the Spirit of Ushabti
In Ancient Egypt, a pharaoh took an Ushabti figurine with him into his tomb. It symbolised protection and loyalty in the afterlife. The word literally means "answerer" — the one who would speak on behalf of the deceased when called to account.
Just as an Ushabti remains faithful to its master, the schnauzer is known for its loyalty, sense of justice and watchfulness. Randi embodied those qualities like no other.
It is in her spirit that we strive to raise all our schnauzers to be honest, affectionate, courageous and loyal.
